As a bartender you may have to make some upscale drinks. This is one of those drinks. The mudslide a great tasting drink that can even be drank as a dessert.
The mudslide can be made one of two ways on the rocks or frozen. Both will have the same amount of alcohol in the frosty version it will have some milk and some ice. The three main ingredients that go into the mudslide are vodka, Bailey’s and Kahlua. They will all go in at equal parts ½ an ounce. You don’t have to use these specific brands there are some that will save you some money. The substitutes that can be used are diverse, but Carolans and Kona Gold. This mudslide will taste just as good as one using the name brand alcohols. Take a hurricane glass and fill all the way with ice. You will then take the vodka for ½ ounce when you pour, do a two count in your head. With the thicker liqueurs you may have to shake it a little to get it to come out because it is so thick. This also give the mudslide a creamy taste. Then add milk or half and half or cream. You may have to add more ice if there is more liquid. Make sure they are pretty even, don’t let one outweigh the other. Pour all ingredients in the blender and blend your mudslide. One good trick to do just to make it look a little better is to make a hershey’s trail going down the glass just for a little spunk and taste. Pour all the blended ingredients into the cup. You then have your mudslide. Just to top it off ad some whipped crème on top and put your straws in and you are ready to drink.
